Peace Building & Reconciliation (PHCC)

Peace and war are the most difficult challenges of human experience in life. Conflict and peace have occupied the human mind and there is need in search for stable human communities. The search for human development has been met by various approaches to quell violent conflict in societies. South Sudanese people had so many expectations after independence however; things fall apart in 2013 when conflicts broke out in the capital Juba and later spill over across the country forcing half of the population to flee to the neighboring countries as refugees. According to UNHCR report as of 28th February 2018 the number of South Sudanese refugees living in Uganda have reached 2,437,293 Two million Four Hundred thirty Seven Thousand Two Hundred Ninety Three. ‘’PHCC Program’’ Action for people in Need Organization is implementing a combined program known as Peaceful & Healthy Community Campaign. This program includes outreach activities of Peace Building, Trauma Healing, Community Base Health Education (creating awareness on reproduction health issues including HIV AIDS) and go to school campaign for children to be in school. The PHCC activities are done through music dance and drama performance, public speaking, community dialogue and drama acting. On health care program, we do it with collaborating with other health institutions example Kajo Keji health training institute which sponsored community health education awareness.
